And the winner is...

Gaga (aka my mom)!

That's right, this past week while visiting my parents in Park City, Utah for the 4th of July, we had our Hula Hoop Competition. Emma was runner up with 38 rotations, but definitely wins the Style Award (because we give those out in our family...remember?). My mom is one of those hula hoopers who could pay the bills while hoopin' and while she is hoopin', she doesn't even look funny. She could probably go on a walk with that hoop rotating around her.

Emma, on the other hand, had just two or three rotations of the hoop and was looking to be in BIG trouble when all of the sudden out of nowhere she whipped her hips around and got her little booty shaking and, to all of our sheer amazement, she kept that hoop going for quite some time...then the altitude caught up to her :) We all couldn't keep a straight face when she hit her stride (I wish I was videotapping-it would have made your day)!! Just picture Elaine on Seinfeld doing her dance moves while hula hoopin' and you have my sweet Emma to a tee.

We had a great time and here are a few of the pictures showing our time in Utah.

Titus tried to kiss a fish...

Emma caught a fish (she actually caught many and by the end of the trip could catch them,
take the hook out, and then throw them back into the pond-
Addie and I stood back in amazement, fish out of the water, are not our forte).

Addie did go horse back-riding without any fear...you go girl!!
Her horse's name was Blue Jeans.

Brian and I had alone time where we took a classic Lindsay timered picture!

Titus found a tractor where he grunted and pointed his finger a lot. That's my boy-bonding with heavy equipment does not need a spoken word-just some dirt on the legs and sound effects :) He couldn't have been happier!

Emma was closer this year to the top of the rock wall.
When she makes it-she will get an ice cream.

My mom and dad did a little photo session, where I snapped this classic.
Bunny ears are a staple for pictures in my family!

All in all it was a wonderful visit and we can't wait to go back next year! More memories are waiting for us.

Happy Fourth of July!

This is a huge barn Brian and I spotted.
I love the patriotism in Utah, so wonderful to see gigantic flags proudly hung!
