Chip

Tonight as I was tucking Addie into her bed. She welcomed me with a new thought.

"Mommy," she said, "God does not have to care about Chip because
he just has ballies in him."
We have been having big God talk and big heaven talk around here lately and so, while her statement was not a question, I immediately began thinking of an answer.
"Well, if Chip is special to you and you are special to God,
don't you think Chip will be special to God too?"
I replied, offering up some hope in the form of a question.
"Yeah, maybe, but still he just has ballies in him."
True. With that I let it rest and kissed my little one for some blessed sleep with Chip tightly in her grip....where he will be when she wakes up in the morning.
There are some things that I will not know until heaven surrounds me. Every so often, in peaceful quiet moments, I try to imagine how full heaven will be, what it will look like and be like. But until I get there, I just can't say for sure who, what, and what won't be there. Those are things for just God to know for sure. I know it may not be Biblically correct, but sometimes I like to think heaven will include things that are simple and special to us... even if they are stuffed with ballies and named Chip.
