Happy Birthday Emma!

Today we celebrated Emma's 6th birthday. We did it "Pinkalicious" style! Emma invited 12 friends from school to come to a perfectly pink party. They munched on pink cupcakes, played Pin The Cupcake On Pinkalicious (pin the tail on the donkey, but much more girlie), made fancy jeweled necklaces, played a "Pinkalicious" (the book that inspired the party) version of musical chairs, and "whacked" at a pink ice cream cone pinata. The party was packed with pink and was perfectly stupendous.

Here are two not-so-very PINK party guests!

My dearest Emma here are a few things I just love about you:
I love that you have never seen a bug or insect you didn't want to find a safe home for.
I love that you sleep in on school days, but are up at the crack of dawn on the weekends (just because you are ready to be at home).
I love that your heart is so tender and so big.
I love that you can be a ball hog on the soccer field one minute and be doing twirls in center field the next.
I love your cheery artwork and your sweet attention to detail.
I love that you wave goodbye to our house guests until you can't see their car anymore.
I love when you play your air guitar.
I love how you climb trees, can do without shoes almost every day of the year and that you love the feel of dirt between your fingers and toes.
Emma G you are simply special!
