Talking with Titus

I am not a good food or drink sharer.  I love food.  I love sharing.  I just don't love to share food.  If I share even a little bit, I quickly will have nothing to eat.  So, I have learned to keep most food and drinks to myself.  I am comfortable with being a non-sharer.
With that being said, I graciously shared some of my special secret chips with Titus the other day.  My numbers were down, because the twins were napping.  I wouldn't let him dig his little fingers into my bowl, but I did gave him several mini handfuls.  It was a nice bonding moment.  New to these chips, he asked me, "Momma, what these chips called?"(he always leaves out word here and there). I said, "These are called Fritos."  He said, with really big eyes, "These are free?"...hearing the "free" in Fritos.  I wish.

Titus started preschool last week.  He walked right in, put his telescope (a empty paper towel roll) on his "go-home" chair, and put his red communication folder on the table. Then I sent him off with a kiss on the forehead and a high-five.  He was adorable as he grabbed a seat on the "E" elephant square on the alphabet rug.  He jumped right into singing and I felt so excited for him and his new adventure.  When I picked him up an hour later, I asked him how it was.  He said, "Momma, why they have such "wittle" cups?" I said, "So that way you don't drop it."  He said, "But its so wittle, hardly no juice fits in it."

Several weeks ago, I was whipping up a big Saturday morning breakfast.  As I was cooking the scrambled eggs, Titus came over to me.  He said, "Momma, you gonna make hostages too?"  I said politlely, "What?"  He said, "You making hostages?  I want lots of hostages."  Then I realized he wanted sausages?!

He also calls his shovel, a "fudgle."

3 year olds rock.
They especially rock when they think they are the Superheroes on their underwear. Up, Up and Away!

Fudgle ... that's my favorite.

I love "kid-speak" - it makes my heart happy.

Connor says "Mommy, Brogan keeps CONSTRACTING me." (Distracting)

And when it comes to cars with spoilers (a.k.a. "race cars"), he will say, "Do you see that MEATY car, Mommy? It's fast, huh?!" Nobody can figure out what the "meaty" is supposed to be, but he's insistent that race cars are "meaty." Ha.

Brenna just learned to say "Animal" correctly in the past 6 or so months ... she used to say "Aminal" ... and I didn't car to correct her b/c I thought it was adorable. This is a child w/ a vocabulary WELL beyond her 6 little years, yet she said the word Animal wrong. And I loved it. :)
